Unfortunately, things
that look detailed and clear on the monitor will not necessarily be
that way in print. For viewing files on a PC, the standard measurement
is pixels. There is no direct calculation to determine dots per inch
from pixels, although they are relative: the lower the DPI, the lower
the pixel count.
For print in 400 Edition, the optimum
resolution is 300 DPI. To determine the actual resolution in DPI terms,
you must have a program that is built to output high resolution files,
such as Adobe PhotoShop.
