Can
you hear the birds singing, and the ripple of the water as the ducks swim by?
This beautiful scene depicts one of the best ways you can view wildlife in Georgia—sitting
in your favorite chair, with ample space for friends and neighbors.
Our friends at Carole’s Southern Charm have

great place to outfit your special space at home to enjoy the outdoors. The
100% natural Brazilian Cherry Adirondack chairs on our cover are beautiful and
comfortable—as perfect by the river as they will be on your patio. These are
just a sample of what you’ll find at Carole’s Southern Charm . Learn more about
this beautiful shop at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall, and the helpful
folks who run it, on pages 24-25.
live
in mountains or around the lake have grown used to seeing hawks, geese, ducks,
and deer on a regular basis. Some of our neighbors have regular visits from
bears, and we all see the occasional snake. Lately, we’ve even seen coyotes. As
several of our wildlife articles indicate, although it’s important to be
cautious, as humans we have little to fear from these creatures who share our
environment. In fact, if we all make sure we have minimal impact on the animals
around us, we will ensure their places in our future.
We’ve also included some articles about the impact
that volunteering has on our world. If you think you’re too busy to volunteer,
you’re overlooking a way to enrich your life and the lives of others. Find a
cause you can become passionate about and support it. The organizations
included in this month’s pages would love to hook you up!
