It's noon on Monday
morning and I am taking the morning slow, recovering from our first weekend
foray into Georgia after moving to the Atlanta area from Maryland a few weeks
ago. With our first houseguest in tow, we explored the "Alpine Jewel"
of Helen. ...This morning I realized we came
back with a real "jewel", the June/July issue of 400 Edition. I have had
a thoroughly enjoyable morning reading the articles, ordering tickets to go
see Big River next weekend, and making plans to go to the Butternut Creek
Festival. More importantly, I've been uplifted and encouraged by the article
"Lessons from the Laundry Pile". In Maryland you would never find a magazine
with an article that talks openly about God at a public facility and reading it
made me proud to now be called a "Georgian", where apparently it's still okay to
be a Christian and talk about it openly. Thanks for all the
great ideas of things to see and places to go in my new home state for the
coming month. -- Kim, Powder Springs, GA
