How do I get an article published? |

Articles found in 400 Edition come from a variety of sources. And just in case you're wondering up front, we do not pay for content. Submissions are generally received because a writer loves the magazine and wants to contribute to its success...or needs a great venue for being published.
There are a few guidelines to keep in mind when preparing content for 400 Edition.
- We are focused on providing up-lifting, family-friendly content. We do not print profanity or topics that are inappropriate for children.
- Our deadline for articles is the first of each month and will be released on the fifteenth of that month. For example, if you submit an article by June 1, and it is approved by our editor, it will generally appear in the magazine released on June 15.
- No sex, crime, or politics. We do not strive to sensationalize like many traditional mediums.
- Make sure your content is original. Do not copy anything that is protected by copyright. If you quote someone, give them credit.
- Please steer away from submitting opinion-oriented content. Our readers much prefer factual historic accounts, "how to" articles, or human interest pieces.
- Articles about businesses are known as "infomercials" and printed for a fee. Please see our advertising rates for the appropriate charge.
- Our editor has final aproval for all content.
- Your article is more likely to be published if it applies to our feature or sub-feature.
- Any dated events/materials should be submitted at least 30 days prior to that date.
